The course provides a blended learning experience consisting of self-directed learning using a key text, together with virtual live workshops with our tutors. The combination of a key text, access to active professionals and real-world scenarios enable you to relate the 'classroom' learning to the reality of the workplace.

To enrich your knowledge, we provide access to our sector guidance and Bite Size training sessions. The course is deliberately structured to combine independent learning with group work and regular tutor check-ins so that we can monitor progress against your study plan to ensure it is working for you and where necessary, review and adapt it.

Exam preparation is provided through revision workshops and mock assessments. Detailed feedback from your tutor will help guide you on how to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding at the assessment stage.

We also provide a comprehensive study plan to lead you through your learning journey which offers flexibility to accommodate personal and work commitments during the period of study.

The assessment is a two-step process:

NG1 - An open book examination to assess what you know.  This is scenario based and will include a closing interview where you will be asked questions about your submission.

NG2 - A practical risk assessment to assess what you can do. Learners will complete a risk assessment and develop an action plan for their workplace which is immediately useful and valuable.

Assessments are marked by external examiners appointed by NEBOSH who are chosen for their experience and expertise to ensure that learners are assessed by the very best from the industry.

There are no entry requirements for this qualification and your tutor will support you in your application process for the assessment stage.
